Although winter is a time for building nets, it's also a time for enjoying the skiing in the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies with my family. As the spring comes and the mountain snows melt, the creeks and streams are revitalized by the cool fresh water so vital for sustaining native fish populations. Skis are now packed up for the season. The focus shifts to repairing holes in waders and stocking the fly box in wait for the upcoming season. Only one more month of waiting for my favourite streams to open. Looking forward to another great season of fishing.
